The hotel is simply less than 30 min away from main Salzburg HBF and bus stop is precisely 1 min from the entrance. 19th century felt strong, alluded to the rustic interior layout. I have toured around Europe for one month and first time I stayed in a place with broad stairways. Room was super clean spacious, whatever I needed well provided. The quintessential quality of my Austria stay here was the very smiley and congenial staff service, from front desk to restaurant. Highly recommendation from me to whoever wishes to immerse in the Salzburg persona.

Great room with gods coffee. Having a CD player and a selection of Music available was a great touch in Salzburg. Small details are looked after like serving honey from the bees in the garden at breakfast just a great place to stay!

    A beautiful, rural area ten minutes by car from Old Town Salzburg. The 180 degree view from the Gasthof Maria Plain hotel terrace, and from the balcony of room #20 which we had, captures sweeping pastoral greenery in the foreground, behind which is the city of Salzburg with the iconic fortress on the berg, back-dropped by the soaring Austrian Alps.     the most beautiful little boutique hotel. not so little though. the room is sooo spacious, bathroom is spacious, and the view is fan-tastic. they set up a little seating corner at the end of the hallway at my floor and it was the prettiest thing. the road up to the hotel a little narrow and dark if you drive in the middle of the night.
