We had a wonderful stay at Kefilyan Family Hotel (booked it for a night). The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals. I would highly recommend this place to stay especially during the winter/cold season to enjoy the weather and views.

We ordered a dinner from the host, the dinner is too enrich, and it's nice the host provided the breakfast in free of charge. The location is very good and about 5 mins walk to the monastery.

Describing our incredible stay at Guesthouse Mary is a daunting task. In all honesty, I struggle to find the right words to capture the beauty and warmth we experienced during our time there. Looking back, I wish we could have extended our stay to fully immerse ourselves in the exceptional hospitality provided by Mary and her family. Right from the moment we arrived, we were embraced as if we were long-lost family members. A delectable array of homemade baked goodies greeted us, accompanied by a choice of invigorating Armenian coffee and tea. The village of Haghpat, nestled among the lush hills, plateaus, and gorges of the awe-inspiring Lori Province, provided the perfect backdrop. Here, natural and locally sourced ingredients were masterfully transformed into mouthwatering meals. From freshly churned butter and cheese procured from nearby farmers to homemade jams and baked goods meticulously crafted by Mary, her mother, and her talented nephew, Arthur, using fruits and vegetables from their own garden, every bite was a revelation. The Dolma, made with grapevines from Mary's garden, was a culinary delight, unlike anything we had ever tasted. What's more, Mary went out of her way to ensure that the meals catered to my vegetarian friend, showcasing her exceptional kindness. As for the accommodation, it can best be described as a nostalgic "Dacha," a charming summer cottage constructed by Mary's father in the 1960s. Each corner of the house is adorned with historical artifacts and handcrafted materials that transported us to a bygone era. The mid-century furnishings, skillfully crafted long before the age of mass production, offered a glimpse into a time when things were meticulously handmade. And how delightful it was to sit on the balcony, serenaded by the melodies of countless songbirds, or explore Arthur's captivating "mini-museum" in the basement, where family heirlooms painted a vivid picture of Armenia's rich history.

If you want authentic local contact, a very nice stay! Very sympathic host, who can make you diner using their own garden harvest. Very affordable price to. Small village, still we had a hard time finding the accommodation. Highly recommended.

Tucked away in the iconic, picturesque landscapes of Armenia, Dream Hotel offered us a truly exceptional stay that we will cherish for years to come. The staff's dedication, the comfort of the accommodations, and the delectable homemade food all contributed to an extraordinary experience, even in the face of unexpected challenges. Our visit coincided with a severe weather disaster on May 26, 2024, which caused the Debed River to flood, disrupting electricity and gas. Nevertheless, the hotel's staff displayed remarkable resilience and unwavering commitment to our safety and comfort. They worked tirelessly through the night to resolve all issues, allowing us to sleep peacefully despite the circumstances. One of the highlights of our stay was the staff's exceptional culinary skills. With nearby restaurants closed due to the crisis, they prepared incredibly tasty homemade meals that made us feel at home. Their resourcefulness and dedication to our satisfaction truly enhanced our stay during these challenging times. Special mention goes to the manager, who was not only instrumental in handling the emergency but also helped us find an alternative route to leave after we decided to extend our stay by an additional day. Their invaluable guidance and support underscored the hotel's commitment to its guests. Despite the hurdles posed by the natural disaster, the team at Dream Hotel transformed a potentially stressful situation into a smooth and memorable experience. Thanks to their exceptional service and care, we were able to fully enjoy the breathtaking surroundings of Armenia without worry. We highly recommend Dream Hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and serene getaway in Armenia. The stunning location, coupled with the outstanding dedication of the staff, makes it a top choice for travellers. We look forward to returning and experiencing their hospitality once again.

Located at altitude with a superb view of the canyon and mountains, and don't forget the exceptional monastery! Lots of small gardens and vineyards! A very relaxing place, an authentic village!
