The rooms are small and the bathroom is down the hall and if the water isn’t hot try the other bathroom, but… what a fantastic night we had!! Our first night in Ireland and we had an amazing time. We sat outside and drank with the locals, moved inside as it got later and colder, people started singing and we ended up going to bed at 2am. Very warm and welcoming locals.

The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Staff were easily available during the opening hours of the pub and very friendly and forthcoming. One night there was a Problem with the WiFi and I was promptly informed and an alternative solution was suggested. Location of the place is fantastic. Right next to the train station and seven minutes on foot from the city center. On the way down to the river there are a lot if different pubs, restaurants and cafes. So it's possible to enjoy breakfast at a different place everytime.

The newly renovated Glendine Inn is fast becoming one of Kilkenny’s best known establishments for Dining/Accommodation and atmosphere.

We stayed for one night and it was a pleasant experience. The location was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable, making for a restful night. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, which we really appreciated.

The staff was the only thing better than the lovely accommodation. She made our stay so comfortable and had such a wonderful warm way about herself. The Avalon is my first choice of hotel when visiting my family in Kilkenny. The rooms are really comfortable and tastefully decorated, the inclusion of a coffee machine is very welcome. The hotel has a very homely atmosphere and the staff are wonderful, so kind and friendly. I would really recommend breakfast, a good selection of local produce really well cooked and served.
