A lovely family-run hotel located in a charming village just 15 minutes from Edessa, offering spectacular views. The rooms are beautiful, clean, well-equipped, and each has a balcony. On the ground floor there’s a popular tavern, which we unfortunately missed as we had already eaten in town—but judging by the number of guests dining there, the food must be excellent. The staff were warm, welcoming, and approachable. Highly recommended for anyone planning a trip to Edessa.

The suit is comfortable, clean, cozy. Location is in the beginning of the entrance in town and at the same time not far way from the center and all popular places to see. There is a big terrace with spectacular view towards the valley. There is a place to leave your car in front of the house. Staff is very friendly, ready to help. All the appliances inside are new. Definitely I recommend!

Attentive, friendly and considerate host with a big heart. Very comfortable, new and exceptionally clean studio with a separate entrance on ground floor. Large double bed and spacious bathroom. Parking space just outside the smart round window. The place is located beside one of the many canals in this pleasant, verdant town; close to the centre and within walking distance to old town and impressive waterfalls. Simply great.

We stayed 3 nights at Montecristo chalet on a long week-end ski outing at Mt. Kaimaktsalan (2,050-2,500m alt.), Macedonia's best ski resort in Greece. Nowhere in alpine Europe could we find such a better value for money ski village and hotel accommodation. The Macedonian chalet architecture and interior design are outstanding, bedroom comfy, breakfast wonderful. A special mention and expression of gratitude is due to Ms Sofia, our cheerful chalet host for her professionalism and attention to detail. We will definitely come back to Montecristo chalet at Palaios Aghios Athanasios village.
