On arrival, they gave my traveling buddy and myself separate rooms without an extra charge. Each room was amazing! Alot of room to move around. The grounds were amazingly beautiful with wandering wild animals, along with tamed peacocks. (I've never seen a white peacock before). The place seemed to be geared for families.

Our room was very spacious and again beautiful, well every thing was. We had faaizah who looked after us our whole time there and he was lovely, the whole team were so lovely. The food were amazing and the walks around the property were great. Would highly recommend!

Very comfy lobby, dining, sitting and outdoor areas. Rooms were super spacious and very nicely decorated. Dinner was very tasty as was breakfast and the wine list was excellent. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is also a small asphalt landing strip next to the hotel for small aircraft in the event one wants to fly there. The house cat is also very friendly. :-) In short, everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!

Naries Namakwa Retreat features warmly decorated rooms in red and gold tones. They are luxurious in style and include a private bathroom. The suites have traditional African features like cowhides. I liked everything about the place, the indoor fireplace had its pros and cons...mostly pros as it was extremely cold at night.The cottage is well-laid out and is furnished with many appliances should you wish to cook. The lack of a wifi signal is a bonus and we got to hang out around the fireplace. There are hikes all around the property, and I wish we could have had a more extended stay and gone on at least one. However, my 80-year-old mom wanted to see daisies😝 The bathrooms were adequate, the toilets worked perfectly, and the water was hot. The lodge supplied us with towels and washing amenities. All-in-all it was a great stay.
