Riverside Guest Lodge offers panoramic views of Grobbelaars River and Swartberg Mountains. It offers air-conditioned rooms and wooden cottages. I had a wonderful time at Riverside Guest Lodge. The breakfast was delicious and the service was outstanding. I’d happily stay again!

Located 10 minutes' drive from Oudtshoorn, AfriCamps Klein Karoo is a set on a working ostrich farm. Peaceful, well appointed, stunning location and views. So much wild life. Great swimming pool. Simply LOVELY staff (shout out to Allice, Alfred and JJ). Brilliant early morning Meerkat safari. We had a blast. Highly recommend Africamps Kelin Karoo.

Surrounded by vineyards and offering a view of the Swartberg Mountains, De Kombuys is situated on a wine farm 3 km from the Cango Caves and 23 km from the town of Oudtshoorn. Wow, what a place! So beautiful, so quiet, fantastic food. Our room was more than expected.

Located in the Assegaay Nature Reserve just outside the town of VanWyksdorp, Rooiberg Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool and on-site restaurant all surrounded by the Rooiberg Mountain Range. This is a beautiful place, nicely remote from the real world! The food was excellent - great quality, taste and value. Excellent service from all we encountered. We’d recommend visitors go on the nature drive… so much to learn about the beautiful Karoo. Great to be escorted by such an enthusiastic guide! Another highlight was the pool - in such beautiful surrounds, and made even more magical by the evening visit of the zebra and various bucks to graze. We’d love to return!

Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is an authentic and contrasting natural space, conveniently located along Route 62, a mere 3.5 hours from Cape Town in the arid Little Karoo. Superb rooms. The bed is heated and the fireplace is amazing. Staff very friendly, our ranger Jordan was a real expert. Very small lodge (6 rooms) which gives a very authentic feeling. Food very good.
