The tent is more spacious than expected, with a well equipped kitchen and two sizeable rooms. The unit was immaculately clean, with fresh linens, towels and extra blankets provided. The wood fired hot tub was a fun experience! Located on the lovely Gowan Valley Guest Farm, a gorgeous property where you can enjoy spectacular river views and forest greenery (the short Forest Walk through the property should not be missed!).

We had the pleasure of staying in the Protea Cottage. The views from the cottage were breathtaking, and it was spotlessly clean upon our arrival. The cottage features a double bed downstairs and two single beds upstairs. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset from the comfortable couch on the deck. While there are numerous hiking trails nearby, we opted to simply relax and enjoy the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere of the property. We highly recommend Highbourne Cottages and look forward to returning in the future.

Set on the banks of the Tugela River, 22 km north of Winterton, Tugela River Lodge features self-catering accommodation 13 km from Spioenkop Nature Reserve and 22 km from Winterton Museum. We loved this location - quaint, comfortable, and welcoming. The setting and the cabin were fabulous. Julian, our host was great. The cabin had everything we needed. It was clean and roomy, and the beds were comfortable. The wood-heated hot tub was fun. Guest could rent bikes, buy firewood, and 'shop' in the farm stall for fresh eggs, honey, wonderful homemade freezer meals, and much more There are several trails right out the front door that enable you to hike or mountain bike to a reserve with zebras and giraffes. We all wished we could have stayed longer! Thanks Julian!

So much attention for details by the sweetest couple who run the place. Amazing view. Nice walk at the property along. the town close by felt very safe. We used this spot to travel to Drakensberg park, so after a day of hiking this was the perfect place to relax. One of our favorite spots in South Africa!

Riverbend Chalets (Gold Crown Resort) is set within the scenic Drakensberg Garden and boasts views of lush landscapes and the majestic Drakensberg Mountain Range. I love the fact that there is games inside the facility. And karaoke night was very entertaining and we very much enjoyed ourselves

Barry was an exceptional host. Very welcoming and told us about the area and told us lots of fascinating stories about his life. Highly recommend the cottage, it had everything we needed and was close by to a Spar to get food. We went to the Sani Pass and Lesotho extended trip which is a must when you're staying in the area. Barry can organize this for you!
