The luxury tent also features outdoor fireplace and a picnic area for a day out in the open. The staff! Everyone we met was friendly and eager to make our 2 nights memorable. The room was incredible and is among the nicest I’ve had while in Africa. It’s right up there with the top lodges in game reserves. They had no issue bringing you down to the parking area anytime we wanted to leave and they were always available to pick you up upon returning. The pool and bar area were great to relax around in the afternoons and the quaint living and dining room was comfortable to spend time in during the evenings before dinner.

The air-conditioned chalet is composed of 2 separate bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and toaster, and 1 bathroom. Towels and bed linen are provided in the chalet. Boasting a garden and views of garden, Highbourne Cottages is a recently renovated chalet situated in Winterton, 10 km from Monks Cowl Country Club. The chalet, set in a building dating from 1940, is 34 km from Winterton Museum and 50 km from Spioenkop Nature Reserve. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. This cottage is absolutely wonderful. It is very well equipped, comfortable and spacious inside. Outside there is a BBQ and a garden with the most incredible views.

There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. All rooms are equipped with a patio with garden views. Amazing view, both from the room and the hot tub. The unit is spacious and great for self catering as it already has the essentials - even a dishwasher. Close to a lot of tourist attractions. Awesome hosts.

We loved this location - quaint, comfortable, and welcoming. The setting and the cabin were fabulous. Julian, our host was great. The cabin had everything we needed. It was clean and roomy, and the beds were comfortable. The wood-heated hot tub was fun. Guest could rent bikes, buy firewood, and 'shop' in the farm stall for fresh eggs, honey, wonderful homemade freezer meals, and much more There are several trails right out the front door that enable you to hike or mountain bike to a reserve with zebras and giraffes. Riverbend Chalets (Gold Crown Resort) is set within the scenic Drakensberg Garden and boasts views of lush landscapes and the majestic Drakensberg Mountain Range. The resort has a restaurant, children’s playground and outdoor swimming pool. I love the fact that there is games inside the facility. And karaoke night was very entertaining and we very much enjoyed ourselves

The lodge offers a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and shower. A fridge and microwave are also available, as well as a kettle. Duck and Elsabe are a beautiful couple. They have put some much love and attention to the place and also made us feel like home. We enjoyed their beautiful garden, so so special it was!! It is intimate and feels like a well run family business. Service and meals and staff were excellent. Definitely a bucket list addition No internet -Awesome
