One of the Highlights of our Trip. The two hosts made us feel like old family members from far away from the first moment on. The tents are wonderful and sitting on the terrace watching the wild giraffes and other wildlife was hands down under the top 5 travel experiences we experienced in our lifes. I highly recommend going there also with children and to show them the wildlife of SA with a huge variety of animals. The Braai in the evening is another highlight featuring the best products like organic butter or meat. Do yourself a favor and don’t rush it. We stayed for 4 nights and could easily have stayed longer as you really experience the pleasure of a spot where time stands still. Thank you for having us. We will for sure come back ❤️

Located in Addo, Charihandra Game Lodge features free WiFi throughout, air conditioning and private parking is available on-site. Guests can enjoy swimming at the outdoor pool. Everything was absolutely amazing. Tents are very clean and modern with A/C. Hall for dining is also completely new. Food was really yummy

Set on the banks of the Sundays River, River Front Estate offers self-catering accommodation in Addo. Addo Elephant National Park is 13 km away. Free WiFi is available . Really comfortable room, great surroundings and close to Addo Elephant Park. Lisa was lovely, the handbook was really helpful and we loved sitting outside bird watching for the evening!

Located on a private concession within the malaria free Addo Elephant National Park, River Bend Lodge offers luxury accommodation, spa facilities and private game drives. Free WiFi is available. The grounds were really beautiful with cottages surrounding artfully landscaped grounds that were filled with birdsong. The chef was truly excellent and we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners. Our park ranger, Paul MacKenzie, was outstanding. He knew the wildlife really well and had many tales from his interesting life. Rafa, one of the elephants blessed us with his presence at the gate on the day of our game drive and were fortunate to spend a lot of time with one of the lions. The Park concession was very good because it gave us long views. In contrast, during our solo drive from the bottom of Addo to the top, there was large bush obscuring views. I found the staff at River Bend to be really friendly and enjoyed my many conversations with them, particularly time spent talking to Jenna. I also enjoyed talking to Gladys, who worked in the kitchen. She and I share an interest in sewing with Shweshwe. We highly recommend River Bend. It is truly a 5 star experience.

Just 12 km from the Addo Elephant Park, these African style huts have luxurious interiors and a shared swimming pool. Great garden, and room is very tastefully designed. The dinner has been really good too
