We had a wonderful stay at Ndlovu Addo River Lodge. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, right on the Sundays River, with nature all around — birds, monkeys and a real sense of calm. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and thoughtfully set up for self-catering, with lovely little touches that made it feel welcoming and relaxed. Being so close to Addo Elephant National Park made it an ideal base for game drives, while still feeling private and tucked away. The eco-friendly, semi off-grid setup worked perfectly and meant no disruption from load-shedding. Overall, a genuinely special place — tranquil, well-run and excellent value. We would happily return and highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Ikwanitsha. It is a very special place, far from everything, incredibly calm and peaceful. Having zebras, ostriches and antelopes roaming around the property makes the experience even more unique. The hosts are very kind and helped us with recommendations and booking a nearby safari. We had dinner there one night and it was delicious, as was the breakfast. We couldn’t recommend it more!

Located in Addo, Charihandra Game Lodge features free WiFi throughout, air conditioning and private parking is available on-site. Guests can enjoy swimming at the outdoor pool. We liked our lodge and its setting. The afternoon game drive was great especially seeing the giraffes close up and feeding the lovely Lucy. A real treat. We only stayed for 1 night but the facilities were excellent, bar, restaurant, games room and small pool. It was also possible to walk around the area a bit.

Overlooking a valley, this safari-themed guest house offers 4-star accommodation in the Eastern Cape Province. Relaxation options include a seasonal outdoor pool. The rooms were very spacious. The property is big and a highlight of our trip was to see the giraffes up close. Breakfast and dinner are well made. They give you tips on when to go to Aldo to see the elephants. The park is about an hour away.
