I really can’t say enough good things about this place. Everything was just perfect for us. Pool, beautiful garden with giant butterflies, family owned. Great food. One of those places that makes you love Vietnam because of how nice people are. The owner can arrange pretty much anything for you (trips, bikes, laundry any advice or recommendations…), both him and his brother are very knowledgeable and pleasant. The property is very well mainteined. Everything is possible. They also speaks perfect English (I know. I should learn Vietnamese).

Loved the natural beautiful place, with nice garden and small houses. Good and warm hearted host! Linda helps organise everything you need from the moment you arrive. She made this stay much Better. The breakfast is great, comes with few options. The rooms are very beautiful decorated. The pool is a bonus because it's hot and you can chill. Maybe the only downside is the distance, but it's solvable by renting a scooter.

The hosts are so kind, the owner built the bungalows himself I’d heard and they were sooo nice to stay in. Great pancakes for breakfast and very lovely property.

We loved everything about our week-long stay at Lan Homestay. The location was perfect for us to explore the village on a scooter/motorbike (which they have available for rent). It's in a quiet neighborhood on a hill, which is located in hidden valley. The landscaping and grounds are beautiful with an abundance of flowering plants, and jackfruit trees that make the property feel like an eco-resort. The staff works tirelessly to keep everything in perfect condition - everyone seemed to be working around the clock. The included breakfast was very good — with a choice of a beverage and a choice of food and always served with a plate of fresh fruit. We also enjoyed a couple of other meals there and everything we ordered was delicious. Most of all our host, Mr. Chilly was everything you could ask for in a great host. He was super-friendly and assisted us with anything we needed from providing suggestions for things to do in Cat Ba to arranging travel for us back to our Hanoi . We would highly recommend Lan Homestay and will stay here again next time we come to Cat Ba.

It's very clean and the owner is friendly and speaks good English! He helped us with renting a scooter and was very easy to contact. I would definitely come back here!
