Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a base for outdoor adventures, this place strikes the perfect balance. I would absolutely stay here again!

The host was very kind and welcoming. The kitchen was fully equipped, and she even prepared some snacks for breakfast. Since we had to leave early in the morning, she explained how to make coffee and was very helpful overall. The location is also convenient, about 1.5 hours’ drive from Sequoia National Park. The room itself was spacious and very clean, with a comfortable bed. The shared bathroom, which is used by one other room, was also clean and well maintained.

Black Bear Lodge is situated in South Lake Tahoe, roughly 0.8 km from the lake and 1.6 km from The Gondola at Heavenly. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV and a gas fireplace. Everything was perfect! The room was very clean and the staff was very kind to leave the keys outside for us because we arrived a little late.
