Complimentary WiFi is provided throughout the property. I’ll be honest, this was one of the best accommodations I stayed in Zanzibar (I changed 5 hotels). The vibe here is torally different and I really hope I will come back here again. Location is perfect, on the beach. There is kite-surf club, beach bar/ restaurant and many of them are around. Pool is clean and from 11:30 til 4:30 there is nobody, so I felt like all is just for me. And is very safe for solo travellers. I really enjoyed in this place.

Abeid Amani Karume International Airport is 60 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. We had a great stay at Nungwi Roses, the hotel itself is wonderful on the eyes, very well decorated, a lot of plants all around to really give it a tropical feel. It’s right off the main road as well. Room was clean, had really cool design features, comfortable and a strong aircon. It felt like being in a quiet private villa (that’s pink). Owners are very nice, welcoming and helpful. Great for pictures by the pool as well!

But a big mention goes to the staff and Joyce that are all just very lovely and caring. It felt like staying at home

Zanbluu Hotel was absolutely incredible! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease. As a first-time solo traveler, I couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking ocean views and a peaceful, intimate atmosphere that made it feel like my own little paradise. The food was exceptional—every single meal was a delight. From fresh, flavorful breakfasts to the most delicious dinners, everything was prepared with so much care and attention to detail. I looked forward to every meal because I knew it would be amazing. My room was perfection—spacious, beautifully designed, and so comfortable. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and having my own private space to relax made the experience even more special. But what truly made my stay unforgettable was the staff. Every person I encountered was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure I had the best experience. Their kindness and hospitality made me feel at home. This trip was a huge step for me as a solo traveler, and staying at Zanbluu made it one of the best experiences of my life. I left feeling so happy, refreshed, and already thinking about when I can come back!

Boasting an outdoor swimming pool and views of pool, Paje Emerald Escapes is a recently renovated chalet situated in Paje, 600 metres from Paje Beach. There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. The chalet features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. I had such a fantastic experience staying at Paje Emerald Escapes! The villas are absolutely beautiful—peaceful, well-designed, and a true slice of paradise. But what truly made the stay unforgettable was the incredible staff. A huge thank you to Leslie, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. From arranging airport transfers to organizing tuk-tuk shuttles, she was constantly helpful, professional, and incredibly sweet. Her kindness really made me feel at home. I’d also love to give a special shoutout to Salim for helping me out when a few geckos made their way into the villa. He came over right away, was extremely helpful, and so kind throughout. I would absolutely stay here again—not just for the stunning villas, but because the people here genuinely care. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Paje!
