We stayed 9 nights in this nice chalet. The hosts were very helpful with everything. It was very impressing to sit outside the bedroom door and enjoy the marvellous view to the ocean and the island Sao George in the distance.

Nice clean rooms and beautiful location. The owner Jan was very friendly and helpful with great tips and suggestions for our trip on Pico. Breakfast was excelent with homemade bread and lots of variations every day.

We had the perfect stay at Casas do Amarelo — it was exactly what we needed for a week on Pico Island! The view of the ocean while having dinner was simply stunning. The kitchen was well-equipped for a week’s stay, and the hot tub was an absolute highlight — especially after hiking Mount Pico in snow and rain! It felt like pure luxury to relax there after such an adventure. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated with such great taste — every detail has been thought through. It’s quiet, peaceful, and ideally located: there’s a supermarket just around the corner, a lovely swimming spot nearby, and plenty of scenic walking trails in the area.

Everything! Super clean, very quiet and remote location but still very close to the main area of Madalena. The hosts thought through everything and there was nothing missing in the house (from coffee to supplies to make a barbecue). One of my favourite stays!

The location. Very creatively furnished house in the middle of a typical Pico vineyard. At night you can hear the cagarros, a nocturnal bird that makes the funniest sounds you will ever hear. There is also so little light pollution that some truly memorable stargazing can be done right from the comfort of the terrace.
