It was a wonderful place to stay for a few nights on the Rio. Manuel and his family were fantastic and very helpful. Having a home-cooked supper each night was fantastic. Great view and a great place to get away from it all.

A really lovely, peaceful place to stay, surrounded by the sounds of nature, with all the little whooping, scratching, hooting critters that abound. Nicholas, the host, was so helpful in sorting us out with various things, including day trips. It is quite a way from town so organise your food and drinks before you arrive, and don't be fooled by the distance on the map - the real distance is further as you bounce around swerving round potholes. Some taxis might not make the journey depending on the season. Here be dragons....

Stunning accommodation, friendly and helpful staff, an excellent guide, fascinating excursions, a scientific research centre which genuinely contributes to conserving the flora and fauna whilst helping the local community. Altogether the best experience we could have had in the Amazon. Not cheap but this was a once in a lifetime experience and worth every penny. Slept better here than ever before.

This lodge is incredibly lovely and peaceful, beautifully immersed in the Amazonia forest facing the Tambopata River. Not far from Puerto Maldonado, but you feel like lost in the deep of the forest. The rooms are huge and perfect, with an incredibile view on the river. All the meals are made with love by the kind Pierina and are truly delicious. The excursions are marvelous: we enjoyed the night walking in the forest, the kayak trip on the river, the cayman ‘buscada’ and the tour to Sandoval Lake. The staff is so caring and sweet - a special thanks to Ciro and Jaime! Our Amazonian visit could haven’t been better than here! Recommended by heart.

Great hotel blocks from main plaza! It was fun to be able to explore the town a little. We stayed in an airconditioned new wing with a beautiful view of the river. I'd stay here again!
