It has hot water (rare for the area) and air conditioning, and boasts stunning views. The property is only 800 meters (about half a mile) from the nearest beach—not 1,800 meters as sometimes stated. We will definitely return, but the true highlight of our stay was the host, Mauricio. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable, from helping organize a Coiba National Park tour to providing free bikes and expert local advice—especially for surfing. On request, he will also host “pasta nights,” and we had the best prawn and rigatoni dish in a long time for a very reasonable price. A special place made even better by an exceptional host.
