Excellent location, amazing food, friendly staff!

Amazing experience. Excellent staff, Incredible location.....and, of course...the lemurs...!! Antoine is a brilliant host, he couldn't have been more helpful. Makako Lodge is highly recommended.

I absolutely loved the location, Nosy Faly truly radiates peace and tranquility. Miavaka Lodge is the perfect place to unwind, whether you’re with family, friends, or a loved one. The food was, without a doubt, the best I’ve had in Madagascar...fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly attentive and made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. There’s a wide range of activities on offer, and Nosy Faly boasts some of the most stunning scenic views of the surrounding islands, including Nosy Be and Nosy Komba. The sunsets from the swimming pool are simply magical, and the house-made rum? Easily the best I’ve ever tasted. To top it all off, I was welcomed with a lovely surprise: a complimentary upgrade to a larger tent nestled in the lush tropical gardens. Every detail exceeded my expectations...I’ll definitely be back!

Jean-Michel, Florida and the whole team are very helpful and kind. For example, we asked Jean-Michel in an email that we would like to stop at a "supermarket" to buy few things during our transfer from the airport to Doany Beach. He said okay. And soon he sent an email that he had noticed we would arrive on Sunday afternoon when shops are closed and offered that he buys what we need if we send a list, Wow. Doany Beach is beautiful with its white sand beach (no trash only shells) , crystal clear ocean in front of you, no dangerous currents, beautiful corals and fish for snorkelling (it is easier to find them in low tide). And there are no other tourists, maybe another family as guests. We could see sunrise even from our bed, we only had to open our front door facing to the ocean at 6 am. Brown (female) and black (male) lemurs are coming each evening or sometimes in the afternoon. We got bananas from the staff to make lemurs eat from our hands and let us stroke them (except their tails). As there are no shops or markets, you eat what you get. But do not worry, meals are perfectly delicious and sufficient and as a bonus, you eat in the garden with ocean view. Weather (sunny, 29-30 C, no rain during the day) and the ocean temperature were great. Doany Beach has filtered drinking water. We had no problems with WiFi. There is hot water in the bathroom. You may ask for how many night you should book. It can easily be one week. Lokobe Reserve is in walking distance, Jean-Michel came with us to show the way. It is worth checking Doany Beach's own website, where you see many boat tours offered (e.g. Lemurialand+Mont Passot+Andilana beach, Tanikely, Sakatia, Komba, Iranja, etc.). There are also many other program possibilities, like fishing, water skiing, face painting. You also see the prices on the website. Boat trip price is usually for the boat and not per person. The service was exceptional! Loris, Sylvia, Yvette and more couldn’t do enough for you The rooms were awesome, and the private patio overlooking the sea, where you had breakfast was beautiful . The food was also scrumptious!

The property surpassed my expectations! It is a hidden gem, nestled away from the hustle and bustle. It feels like a boutique tree house. The rooms are amazing and such good value for money. The lodge offers a generous and delicious breakfast which is the best I’ve had on Nosy Be so far. The property is very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Simple but a realy nice, clean,calm and peaceful. Helpful and charming staff speaking also english. Beach in front of the lodge. Lemurs in the garden. Hammocks to chil during the day. Nice food in the Restaurant.

Accommodation amidst lush and well-kept tropical garden with an infinity pool, just like in the description and in the photographs. Bungalows/cabins surrounded by mango trees provide views of picturesque sunsets on the sea. Meals in the local restaurant vary periodically and cater to different preferences. The staff are outgoing and helpful. Trips can be discussed and tailored on the spot, and pick-up from the airport is reliable in spite of delayed flights. The place to stay for a week or more.
