Quite, away from it all, yet super close, too. Andrea (the host) is amazing. She was a quick and good communicator, was helpful in helping me make my way to the cabin in the dark, have me great ideas for restaurants, and had a for going in the wood stove so I arrived to a toasty cozy room upon arrival. And she was super helpful even AFTER I left with finding things. And, the parking was right in front (sometimes hard to find traveling around Albania).

The cabin is beautiful with a very well stocked kitchen, great beds, the sauna is amazing and easy to use, and the outside facilities were great too! My kids loved the outside play area, the porch and the chairs were really comfortable. And the fire pit was great! We also loved how close it was to the national park and the little markets, while still feeling private and away from the main parts of towns and busy roads.

We cooked and had amazing nights there.

I decided to stay an extra day, rest and spend time with them because of how nice the facilities, people and surroundings were. The food was INCREDIBLE, views stunning, and memories unforgettable. I would highly reccomend Katun Lanista, whether you're passing through, looking for rest, or want somewhere to stay longer and relax in incredible nature.

Situated 48 km from Plav Lake, Komovi Eko Katun Martinovica 1750 offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a garden. There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. There is a restaurant serving local cuisine, and free private parking is available. Unbelievable location with fantastic hiking, cute cabins, nice host. I was worried the drive up wouldnt be easy in a small car from the other reviews but it was actually fine. Best to do it during the day of course but very doable in a small car if youre a bit adventurous. There are phone carriers that work OK there - best to find out which ones before you go. Otherwise the family is super generous in setting up hotspots.
