We had an incredible 3d2n stay at Sinharaja Kurulu Ella Eco Resort. Even before our stay, Janith and Manisha went above and beyond to make our trip to Sri Lanka enjoyable. The drive we had originally booked cancelled last minute, and they were able to quickly arrange transport for us from Colombo to the resort and even for the subsequent week of our trip. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, both the structures and the surrounding areas, which includes a path to a waterfall and gorgeous views of the rainforest. We ate each meal here and loved every single bite - the coconut sambal was some of the best in the world. For those with smaller stomachs, the portions are huge so it’s best to split a plate so as to avoid food waste. We originally booked the triple room with a view but when we saw the Superior Family Room, we immediately upgrades because it’s essentially a glass treehouse immersed in the jungle. We also booked a jungle tour through the resort and our guide Kumar took us on an incredible all day journey through a tea plantation to a rainforest, where we explored waterfalls and learned about the local flora. We are traveling through Sri Lanka for a few weeks and really this has been one of the highlights of our trip because of beautiful location, delicious food, the wonderful memories made on the jungle tour, and most importantly the compassion and kindness that were shown to us at every minute by Janith and Manisha. We cannot recommend this place enough.

The atmosphere from the patio alone was worth the (very affordable) cost. Monkeys and many different birds make an appearance every day. The owner and staff were super helpful. Thank you! <3

Tree House-Midigama poskytuje restauraci, zahradu, sdílený lounge a terasu. Pláž Midigama Beach se nachází 1,4 km odtud. As we arrived we were greeted with cold wet towels while the host prepered an insanly eleborate "welcome tea" - it was more like a taste-through the specialities of the country plus a Black tea with a scent of gingen and lime - both from the own garden! After petting the two kittens we explored the tree house. The tree house is amazing: offering a huge terrace on the second floor and a not so spacious but lovely crafted interior. The bathroom is outside but protected from rain. One time while showering, we even had a Kingfisher watching us! Apart from the treehouse, what also separates this homestay from others is the amazing host family. In the morning, we got tea up on the Terrace while watching the birds, we got many good Tips for our stay, a very detailed tour through the garden (including tasting of coconut in ways we didn't think possible) and an enormous, varied and authentic sri lankan breakfast. On the second day we decided to hsve dinner at the homestay and asked if that would be possible. He explaind that they only offered surprise dinners with varying dishes. Because the meal is always different, there was no clear price to it. He told us that we should just pay what the meal is worth to us. In the end, the surprise dinner was a banquet under candle lights, with seafood, Curry and everything Else you could wish for. Upon receiving the receit for our stay, we saw that neither the extra tea we drank, nor the water we ordered, nor our goodbye lime juice were added to the price. All was included in good hospitality. We even got a fairwell gift when we left. I think this was our 10th guest house during our travels in sri lanka, but i can say surely that it was the best. Main points: food, hospitality, treehouse, kittens. What else to say.

Top of the mountain .just walking distance from the beach (200m). My wife was doing yoga at the garden .it was really comfortable place . Private parking , Garden ,private bathroom and kitchen . Highly recommended 🥰🩵

Pixie Haven Lodge Hiriketiya se může pochlubit výhledem na město a poskytuje ubytování s balkonem a kávovarem. Pláž Dickwella Beach se nachází přibližně 200 metrů odtud. Nice big apartment. Lots of space and modern facilities.

It’s placed in the most amazing nature, with a good chance of seeing wild animals :))) With a scooter it’s only 5-10 minutes from the beach and Weligama and mirissa The rooms are so nice and clean with good ac :)) The hosts offer to make both breakfast, lunch and dinner for you, with a small cost Overall amazing place to stay :))))

Lunuvila Resort Hiriketiya Dikwella se nachází v destinaci Dikwella a nabízí zahradu. Pláž Dickwella Beach je 800 metrů daleko a Gejzír Hummanaya 5,5 km. We like the place a lot, it's new and more villas are still being built. Have a small patio to eat breakfast in the morning. The villa is a bit dim but gives a cosy atmosphere. Also it has warm water heater! The owner though is the best part. He is so genuine and friendly, tries to help and cooks really good traditional breakfast. We got unlucky with the weather and it rained a lot, so he offered us a ride to the center so we could get dinner. He also arranged a scooter for us and dropped us off at the bus stop, one of the best hosts we ever had! Location is close to Hiriketiya restaurants and shops, 10min walk away.
