On all levels, Phum Khmer Lodge is outstanding. If you are looking for an authentic Cambodian experience, with a family feeling and comprehensive attention to detail, then Phum Khmer Lodge is for you. We stayed there twice as a family and the second time was for 8 relaxing and memorable nights. First, the staff are simply across the board WONDERFUL. They are so welcoming, attentive, caring and helpful. Available and responsive but not obtrusive. Vanna and Sreymean were especially helpful at the front desk along with Lipton and Sokhoeun. The restaurant was excellent - we enjoyed many meals there. Breakfast was a wonderful way to start each day with a variety of options. The availability of great tut tuk staff and tour staff was another huge plus. Thank you to the drivers and to the tour guide Kai who took us on an informative, personable and enjoyable tour of Angkor Wat and environs. Second, the facilities are OUTSTANDING. From the attention to detail in terms of authentic Cambodian architecture, amenities, and layout, it is clear that the owners, Ly and Mey, have devoted themselves to the highest standards in terms of providing an authentic Cambodian home experience. The pool is refreshing and the overall layout is serene and peaceful. It combines a small boutique hotel with the friendly and personable demeanor of a homestay. Third, Phum Khmer Lodge offers the whole package in terms of staff-infrastructure-vision/concept being EXCEPTIONAL and Cambodian-specific. Congratulations to Ly and Mey for their vision and follow-through in providing guests with an exceptional Cambodian respite in the middle of busy Siem Reap. It is a wonder that such an intimate, cozy boutique hotel can offer so much. Thank you again to Ly/Mey and to all of the staff - Vanna, Sreymean, Lipton, Sokhoeun and everyone in the restaurant, tuk tuk drivers, tour staff. Your efforts and hospitality are much appreciated and we look forward to our next return!

The staff was super friendly and the pool was great. It had some shade at various parts of the day that helped with preventing sunburns. The breakfast of pancakes and American breakfast was also very delicious. They were also very kind and helped me when I was struggling with my atm and getting cash. They also always had tuk tuk drivers on location so when we wanted to go somewhere we didn't have to wait for someone to pick us up. n

I chose this accommodation because of the traditional wooden buildings. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, having a verandah overlooking the pool was lovely and the downstairs area was good to escape the heat. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff were extremely helpful. We were sick at the time of staying at this lodge and the staff were so caring and helpful. They checked on us regularly, brought us ginger tea, and made sure we had food. If we hadn't lived in Cambodia previously and weren't as comfortable with the language and getting around, I am sure they would have done more for us. The staff are the kindest and most caring Cambodians you will meet and the accommodation is very good value for what you get. Because of the location it feels less touristy. Initially, I thought itvwas too far away from the centre but it's really only a short tuk tuk ride or a 20 minute walk. There are plenty of places to eat and visit over that side of the river.

The property is truely exceptional! Each traditional timber home is unique & they sit beautifully together on the property. The quality of furnishings inside the timber homes, is to a very high standard. The garden is peaceful & tranquil and beautifully maintained. There was a thoughtful gift for us, which was a delightful surprise. We had dinner on our private deck one night which was magical. The team helped arrange our tours to the temples & travel around Siem Reap, which was to the highest standards. The food is delicious & the staff are fabulous. A most memorable stay. Highly recommended!
