Samburu Sopa Lodge er staðsett í Archers Post og býður upp á ókeypis WiFi. Gestir geta notið sameiginlegrar setustofu, veitingastaðar og bars. Great location in the middle of the reserve. Flew into the Kalama airstrip. The lodge helped us arrange transportation from the airstrip to the lodge, a 45 minute drive. Apin was our driver and he was so friendly and knowledgeable,we hired him to guide us on all of our game drives. The lodge is wonderful, separate thatched roof bungalows with 2 rooms each. Large spacious rooms, traditional Samburu themed luxury . Beds are firmly comfortable, bathrooms large, great shower. Very quiet location.The buffet serves delicious food and offers many choices; Kenyan, Indian,English and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Enjoyed eating meals while watching animals visit the watering hole situated in front of the dining area. The swimming pool offered us a chance to cool off. The staff were amazing, everyone made us feel welcome and happy to be at Sopa. Samburu National Reserve is warmer and drier than many of Kenyan parks, however, I highly recommend visiting due to the more mountainous terrain and the amazingly unique wildlife. Staying at Sopa lodge really enhanced our stay.

I liked the tents with a lot of space and private sitting area. You can even see animals through the fence if you are lucky! We saw an elephant and a giraffe. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and they brought live music on our first night and a lovely decorated plate. Lovely detail. Also, the food was amazing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with plenty of options including vegetarian. If you have food allergies better check in advance though. I had the best massage ever with Rachel. She literally made all the tension of my body disappear. I was going for a 30 min massage initially but extended for a full hour because it was so good. My husband also enjoyed the massage. The staff was amazing and the highlight. All of them super nice: the lady at the reception, Abdi our room attendant, Marundu from the bar (not sure if I spelled the name right, but this man was a lot of fun and his vibe was amazing! He made us enjoy our afternoon beers even more!) Elvis from the restaurant, Roba from security, Hussain the safari driver, and every single employee at the hotel! I wish I had written all the names down to write a special thank you to each one of them because they all made our stay very pleasant and enjoyable. Always nice to us and super helpful.

Sarova Shaba Game Lodge er staðsett í hjarta Shaba Game-friðlandsins, við bakka Ewaso-árinnar og býður upp á tré sem eru upprunnin úr ættbálki, fiskatjörn og stóra sundlaug. The food was exceptional. There was a lot of variety to choose from. The menu was different every day. The chef took his time to visit our table and ask how we enjoyed our food.
