Located in Ine, 16 km from Manai Shrine and 16 km from Motoise Kono Shrine, 舟宿 壱 provides sea views and free WiFi. The air-conditioned accommodation is 17 km from Daijyouji Temple. Location is everything with this property, which is a beautifully renovated funaya right on the water in Ine fishing village. It's self catering accommodation and we hadn't made any reservations at the small number of local restaurants. However, we found a lovely place right across the road from our house. Our room overlooked the water and despite the wet weather the views were amazing. Our host also arranged a private boat tour of the bay for us, which picked us up from our own jetty! A magical stay. Highly recommend.

Situated in Ine, the recently renovated くらし伊根大原 features accommodation 16 km from Manai Shrine and 17 km from Motoise Kono Shrine. Okazaki-san is a fantastic and hilarious host. The accommodation is roomy and exceptionally comfortable. The area around Ine-Ohara is one of the most beautiful parts of Japan! Highly recommended.

Ideally situated in the centre of Kyoto, the recently renovated 秋桜館Cosmos offers well-equipped accommodation featuring air conditioning, free WiFi and flat-screen TV. Lovely, clean and spacious apartment in a peaceful residential neighbourhood, with easy access to central Kyoto. Our hosts were incredibly kind and very happy to help whenever we needed it. Thank you for everything!

In the Minami Ward district of Kyoto, close to Sanjusangen-do Temple, 至の宿-京都南 Traditional Machiya Guesthouse features free WiFi and a washing machine. Close to the Kyoto station. Quiet neighbourhood. Lovely stand alone house with little garden and hot bath.

Located in Kyotango, 600 metres from Kotohikihama Beach and 5 km from Amino Shrine, Asobi Lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with a terrace. It was well located, everything was well thought out, Hamish was incredibly friendly and helpful. It was also a very peaceful and relaxing spot to spend a few days.

Boasting mountain views, The Lodge MIWA features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 20 km from Kinkaku-ji Temple. We absolutely loved our stay here! The cabin is beautiful, cozy, and full of charm – you can tell that every little detail was thoughtfully considered. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel at home right away. The location is fantastic, with peaceful surroundings that made our experience even more special, and the area itself is simply stunning. It was the perfect place for our honeymoon! A huge thank you for the amazing hospitality – we can’t wait to come back!

Located in the centre of Kyoto, 1 km from Kyoto Station and 1.2 km from TKP Garden City Kyoto, ゲストハウス至の宿 Shibainu-Themed Guesthouse offers free WiFi, a garden and air conditioning. Everything is perfect, I have nothing more to say. I think I’ll come back next time I visit Kyoto.

京·馨 is located 400 metres from Nijo Castle and 1.3 km from Kyoto International Manga Museum in the centre of Kyoto. Loved the traditional feel. The accomodation was clean and as described. Beds comfortable, great location near public transport a bakery next door and a full supermarket around the corner. Two full bathrooms and a washing machine and drying rack were a perfect addition. We really enjoyed our stay here.
