We mixed eating out with cooking dinner in the room, enjoying sunsets on the deck. At night, the sky deck and outdoor bath also made for a perfect end to the evenings--talking, talking, talking while looking out at the ocean and the Milky Way.

We all really enjoyed the location of the property. Ideal for hiking. It was very well presented, well equipped and tastefully decorated. We had a great stay. Yui was really helpful. She was good to communicate with and made us very welcome. We all had a massage with her which was so so relaxing after a day on the mountain. We all wish we could have stayed longer .

The accommodation has a hot tub. We loved everything about this place, but the couple who runs it made it even more fantastic. He is an excellent cook, so enjoy at least once the amazing dinner (as well as the japanese breakfast) and she is welcoming you so warm and friendly, you just want to stay longer.

Yakusugi Land is 34 km from Cottage Yakusugi House, while Scuba Diving Ever Blue Yakushima is 1.4 km from the property. Yakushima Airport is 8 km away, and the property offers a free airport shuttle service. It was a wonderful house and super value for money. It was clean and big and can easily host a big group. There are also nice restaurants nearby.

Also well located to hike the Arakawa trail, I was able to take the first bus without problems. You can also order bento for the trail the day before if you want to, which is super convenient. Also located near a supermarket and the main town, if you want to buy supplies or eat in a local restaurant. It was super clean and super comfortable.
