Gave us information on sightseeing in the region (and even a small gift of local produce when we left). The host also runs a bar in the centre of town which was a good place to have a snack and drink after hiking in the park. Close access to hiking trails (but car is essential)

Set in Matera, 200 metres from Casa Grotta nei Sassi and 700 metres from Matera Cathedral, DOMUS DE ARMENIS offers free WiFi, a terrace and air conditioning. With city views, this accommodation offers a patio. Attention to detail; beautiful bath, shower and sauna, although light therapy in shower did not work; kitchen was a bit small, as was the kitchen table which was very unstable. Breakfast goods were a lovely touch. Great reading material and large TV was a bonus! Very well located to explore the old town. Overall, great stay!!
