Our stay at the Sycamore Lodge was a highlight of our trip! John and Kieran were exceptional hosts! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a lovely tea with homemade scones and other treats. The house is simply beautiful and we felt immediately at home. Kieran was especially helpful in giving us tips and information about our ancestors who lived in Kilkee. We didn't think things could get any better and then, after a wonderful night's sleep, we woke up to an amazing, breakfast. It was almost too beautiful to eat! The lodge was right beside a big farm. Veronica warmly welcomed us and showed us around when we arrived, and the place was already heated up warmly upon our arrival. Although it's beside a farm, there's no odour and the Lodge is very clean, new and modern. It's well equipped with oven, microwave, cooking utensils, dishwasher and Netflix. There were even fresh flowers on the counter, which was lovely touch. We walked around the farm to see alcapas, race horses, cattles and two friendly dogs. This place is suitable for couples and family. Kinsale town is a short 10mins drive. Very highly recommend this place. We enjoyed it thoroughly, wish we could have stayed longer.
