If there is something like the perfect place with the perfect host - this is the place. It truely cannot be better. We came by bike on the Ring of Kerry. We had a place to put the bike in and load the battery. We experienced a very warm-hearted host couple who offer superbly clean and comfortable rooms. The support is excellent. The view from the house down onto the creek is one of the best we ever had on our many bike trips.

Our stay at the Sycamore Lodge was a highlight of our trip! John and Kieran were exceptional hosts! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a lovely tea with homemade scones and other treats. The house is simply beautiful and we felt immediately at home. Kieran was especially helpful in giving us tips and information about our ancestors who lived in Kilkee. We didn't think things could get any better and then, after a wonderful night's sleep, we woke up to an amazing, breakfast. It was almost too beautiful to eat! Perfect location for trip to Aran Islands. Loved the downstairs lounge/meal area available to guests. Tea/coffee available at any time as well as very nice cake/scones/biscuits. Hostess was able to help me sort out my issue of photo storage on my phone. Ample parking. Upstairs room. Clean and quiet. Bathroom in good working order.
