Beautiful lodge,spacious and comfortable threw out.on a cold damp nite,we was greeted with a lit log fire,additional radiators threw out,and a Christmas tree lit for an extra Christmas cosy feel,the area is peaceful,enjoyed our stay just wish we'd booked for longer,but we will be returning x

There was everything we needed for cooking Christmas dinner. The house was warm and plenty of room for entertaining. Good having a bedroom and shower room downstairs for Granny! Really appreciated the Christmas decorations.

Great location. Owners are lovely and happy to interact but not intrusive. Room was clean and easy ground floor access. Off street secure parking. Would highly recommend. Would have stayed a 2nd night if it was available.

Amazing hosts helpful and had extensive knowledge of dog friendly bars & restaurants. Fabulous quirky lodge with fabulous features. Private and secure with two terraces . I was travelling with my dog and it’s was just perfect.

This was a last minute booking to get away from everything and just relax- this place exceeded my expectations. The host was absolutely amazing and couldn’t do enough for us to make feel welcome. The lodge itself is perfectly located, quiet and five minutes from a beautiful walk by the canal. My daughter really enjoyed the horses and feeding the ducks. While my favourite activity was the hot tub!! Such a shame we live in Australia if I was a local I’d be there all the time for my retreat fix!!

Beautiful property in an idyllic setting. It was immaculate and comfortable as well as really well equipped. Spending time with the ponies and pigmy goats was an added bonus. We really appreciate the owners offering to dispose of our busted suitcase too. Thanks for a great stay.
