Danta Corcovado Lodge offers its guests a library, Wi-Fi access in public areas free of charge and extensive gardens. Tea and coffee services are available from 06:00 to 22:00 hours.

All the accommodations have fans and private bathrooms with shower and hot water. The house also features a kitchen with hob and fridge. They feature a rustic-style décor. One of my all-time favorite places and I stayed in many hotels and lodges in more than 100 countries! This is for you if you love nature, nice food and rooms with privacy. You have a lot of the animals of the national park and have still a roof all you need. It is an unbelievable place to see amazing birds. Do not go if you need air conditioning and are afraid of animals. An amazing place to immerse with nature. We now have been 4 times and will definitely come again :-). Super well managed by the owner and the stuff is so nice and they all know what they do.

Located in Puerto Jiménez in the Puntarenas region, Maze Lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

Puerto Jimenez Airport is 9 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. You are located right in the jungle! You are on the monkey highway’! So many animals to see right from your deck, three kinks of monkeys, scarlet macaws, toucans, trogons, hummingbirds and more. Great beds; screens on the windows as well as fans and good AC. This allows you to have the room open to a nice breeze or the comfort of the AC. Wonderful big shower with plenty of hot water. Large refrigerator with room for ice. Bird tour with Louise was wonderful, they have lots of other tours available and they will pick you up right at Maze Lodge. The lodge is right next to a Zip Line tour, we didn’t try it, but I’m sure you can get a great deal.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a pool with a view, pool view and a patio, La Amapola Lodge, Bungalow en Península de Osa. Is set in Barrigones. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. It’s got a great driveway, spacious house with two levels, great mosquito netting that goes around the bed, 3 bathrooms, lovely pets including a friendly parrot 🦜 and the outside patio is well kept and the pool stylish (and illuminated in the evenings!). We stayed for 6 nights with Geraldo and his family and they were very welcoming and even gave us fresh bananas and coconut waters daily. His wife did our washing and folded it really neatly. We were never bored as there is so much to do on the Osa Peninsula and we really missed the place and all the people and animals living there when we left. We saw squirrel monkeys from the balcony in the morning and saw macaws fly over the house regularly.

Offering mountain views, Finca la Bonita, Playa Carate in Carate offers accommodation, a garden, a terrace and a restaurant.

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries.

If you would like to discover the area, fishing is possible in the surroundings. Location in the trees of the Costa Rican jungle, perfectly private, outdoor cold (but not too cold) shower under trees. Wildlife in abundance, from howler and spider monkeys in the trees above the cabin; to agoutis, leaf-cutter ants, various lizards and amphibians, crabs below it, plus stunning butterflies, toucans and scarlet macaws - one wonder after another. Christian is a kind, helpful, professional bilingual host, extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, first-class tour guide and able to fix anything. Meals all prepared from fresh ingredients. My favorites were the breakfast fruits and dinners with avocados and freshly-caught fish. All staff was friendly and accommodating. It was the most peaceful, rejuvenating week I've ever had.

Rincon Beach is a few steps from Kinkajoungalows - Amaya Family, Drake Bay, Osa Peninsula, while San Josecito Beach is 1.8 km away. Drake Bay Airport is 17 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. We have been home 2 weeks but we are still dreaming about our stay at Kinkajoungalows. From start to finish the stay was perfect. A welcome committee of strong men met our boat from Sierpe to help with our luggage. We were looked after like this for the whole of our stay by the perfect hosts. The family team never imposed on our privacy and were very discreet but were always available when we needed any help. Samuel was incredibly helpful and responsive providing answers to all our questions. The lovely little bungalows are well positioned for each guests privacy and with balconies overlooking the jungles.Just sitting on the balcony we saw Monkeys, Toucans, Scarlet Macaws, a Tapir and an anteater. The rooms are perfectly comfortable , nicely decorated and very well equipped. We loved the location just a few steps from a secluded paradise beach, where you could lay in a hammock to enjoy a cocktail and watch the fabulous sunsets. We didn't venture very far as the immediate area was so wonderful that we didn't want to to rush around,. We wanted to enjoy the relaxed mood and savour the moment. We simply relaxed , enjoyed the simple home cooked food., ad being looked after by the staff. We are now desperate to return and hope to have the opportunity to spend more time there to further explore the area, or simply enjoy this very special place ! A thank you to Kenya who helped me out by giving me a tube of Aloe Vera Gel when I stupidly got sunburnt on the snorkeling trip to Canos islands.

With Matapalo Beach reachable in 600 metres, El Remanso Rainforest Lodge provides accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a private beach area.

Puerto Jimenez Airport is 22 km away, and the property offers a free airport shuttle service. El Remanso Rainforest Lodge has set the bar so high that I fear no other hotel will ever compare. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations. The entire staff, Rinaldo, Dari, and Rosa, were all truly exceptional. They were warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. Our tour guides, Eliezer, Roy, Tony, and Ronald, were equally impressive: knowledgeable, passionate, and eager to share their love for the rainforest and for the Osa Peninsula. The lodge itself is spectacular, nestled between lush forest and a pristine beach—there’s hardly any reason to leave. We stayed in a bungalow with breathtaking views of both the sea and the forest. Each morning and evening, we watched monkeys and birds right from our window. The included food was a highlight, with every meal delicious and the servers, Enrique, Brian, Joselito, and Stefani, going above and beyond to accommodate any dietary restrictions. The daily activities, the beautiful pool, and the outstanding service all contribute to making this lodge worthwhile, even given its high price. It was remarkable how the entire staff always seemed to know which tours and activities we had planned, making us feel like their most important guests at all times. Take their advice seriously about needing a 4WD vehicle to access the lodge. You’ll want high clearance on your car to navigate the road easily and avoid any damage. Leaving El Remanso truly felt like saying goodbye to family, and we were genuinely sad to go. This place has ruined all my future hotel experiences, but in the best way possible. We will definitely be back.
