Boasting an outdoor pool and a hot tub, La Finca Lodge is located in Fortuna, 35 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. Complimentary WiFi is available. The property is a family-run business with the family working across reception, food service and other support. The accommodation was great, with individual units air-conditioned on the property. The pool was a great temperature and clean. The property is calm and quiet and the breakfast was great. We easily drove to several activities in the local area within 30-45 minutes, including animal reserves and a chocolate tour, before moving on to La Fortuna. The children loved meeting the water buffalo and had an exceptionally great time.

Surrounded by 860 private acres of tropical rainforest and featuring an on-site lake, a swimming pool, a sun terrace and games room, Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails is located within the Arenal... Amazing location and wonderful trails to explore. We saw many wild animals on the property and loved the views from the towers and the restaurant. Breakfast was very good with lots of varieties. Beautiful room. It was great to have a free walking tour in the morning! Thank you for the great honeymoon decoration in our room and the gift. Very much appreciated!

The place was very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed—pan, pot, sharp knives (and a sharpener!), microwave, and even a washing machine with space to hang clothes outside. The hosts were super attentive, took out the trash, and even offered to clean during our stay. We also got a lovely bottle of wine as a welcome gift. The setup is perfect for four people, with two beds, two sofas, two TVs, and outdoor seating with a table, benches, and an umbrella. Parking on-site was a plus.

The meals are a highlight—delicious, healthy, and hearty, made with fresh ingredients sourced directly from their garden. Every bite feels homemade and thoughtfully prepared. The lodge itself is a stunning blend of a forest and a botanical garden, teeming with wildlife, especially birds. It's a nature lover's dream. I highly recommend the night tour with Jay—it’s an unforgettable experience. Nohelia is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and Costa Rica as a whole, always ready to offer helpful tips and advice. One thing to note: the lodge is accessible only with a 4WD vehicle, as the last 3 kilometers of the road are quite rough. However, the journey is absolutely worth it. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Ecolodge Cecropia. If I could, I’d rate it 200%. Nohelia and Jay are truly wonderful hosts, and they’ve created a magical place that’s not to be missed.
