The room was simple but very clean, comfortable, and tranquil, with stunning views of Lake Titicaca. The hosts were kind and welcoming, and the meals we had there were homemade and delicious. When touring Lake Titicaca, spending a night or more on Isla del Sol is an experience you don’t want to miss. Trust me! Visitors should know that life on the island is calm and rustic — there are no cars and you’ll be walking up and down steep paths — so come prepared for simplicity and peace rather than luxury. If you embrace the slower rhythm, this place is truly unique and unforgettable.

Breakfast and dinner were nice.

The owner is lovely and very kind. Breakfast is served in a room with lake view and is really good :) the whole experience was amazing!! One little thing.. Don't expect to have boiling water for your shower though, you are on a island managed by locals and they do their best to make you live your dream experience :)

The lodge is owned and operated by a local family. They have built a great lodge that is really well taken care of. The view of the lake from the rooms and the property is absolutely stunning. We found time everyday at the property to just sit on the outside chairs to take in the view, read a bit and watch the people go by with their donkeys and produce from their land. The family (Oscar, Sonia, Lis) were super friendly and helpful. They did a great job with breakfast. We loved that they also offered dinner which Sonia, the mother, makes herself. After taking long hikes around the island, we didn't have the energy to go out for dinner. The guestroom is very well done and super well taken care of and clean. We stayed in a family room with a lake view which was very large. The shower had reasonable pressure and hot water. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of blankets and an electric heater for the chilly nights. It is a very steep climb from the boat drop off point to the various lodges. The Utasawa lodge offers donkey service for getting your luggage up the mountain. I strongly suggest you take advantage of it. We thought it was a bargain, particularly after watching everyone with luggage struggling big time to make it up the mountain to the various lodges and hostals. We were sad to leave after three nights. We highly recommend staying here and would definitely recommend to any of our friends if visiting the island.

Exceptional view and very well finished and decorated property. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. They pointed out a great place to eat in the evening and supported us to plan the next walking route. It is worth pulling the curtains early to see the sunrise! Wow! The shower was warm and there is a small heater in the room and some blankets (it is very cold at night) Breakfast is good and even better sitting eating it with that spectacular view. There is a small shop run by the owners for woolen souvenirs, drinks and snacks.
