Thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my stay. Got a room upgrade to the Morrocco suite and made the most of the outdoor shower. The staff, the food and drinks were absolutely amazing. I am certainly looking forward to my next visit.

The staff were very helpful at the lodge, from lending a plug adapter to early wake-up calls with coffee. There is an honesty bar for drinks and the option for having dinner at the lodge. There was power backup for when the National grid failed.

My experience over a two week stay at Art Lodges was a happy and deeply satisfying one. The kindness and unassuming attentiveness of each one of the staff created a lovely atmosphere. They just go about quietly tending their assigned jobs and respect your space. Michael the manager and the son of the kind hearted proprietors was always available for advice and information. Security issues are uppermost for anyone away from their country and continent. Art Lodges provided safety at every level. It is located in the beautiful leafy Borrowdale area in suburban Harare. One short trip from Art Lodges by taxi I recommend are the Botanical gardens (albeit presently in a supervised but neglected state; hopefully the cafe has reopened). Every morning I enjoyed jogging in the vicinity and in the afternoon walked for 10/15 minutes to Sam Levy's Village, a modern complex of shops, supermarket outlets, banks and excellent cafes, restaurants and wine bars. Zimbabwe has its own currency but US Dollars are used everywhere. Be careful your dollar notes are in basic usable condition as otherwise shops will be refuse them. Very importantly at all times carry 1 and 2 Dollar notes especially if using taxis and for many other transactions. For changing Euros or Sterling to Dollars there is an excellent exchange rate available at an outlet at Sam Levy’s Village. Ask at Art Lodges. Also take note that the roads and footpaths around Art Lodges and to Sam Levy are adequate but less than perfect. Vigilance is necessary especially crossing roads. With the advantage, however, that cars drive on the same side as Ireland, the UK and Malta! Also recommend you download economical Uber type taxi App. In the afternoons or evenings the excellent Thai restaurant and gardens beside Art Lodges ie recommended. Also just for coffee or drinks.

An excellent stay. The team at Pemabwe is truly outstanding—professional, attentive, and always helpful. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained. The breakfast was exceptional, and the internet connection worked perfectly throughout the property. Highly recommended for both business and leisure stays.

When I first arrived I was greeted and welcomed by the lovely host, Paulette. Her and the rest of the lodge staff were very attentive and made the whole stay comfortable. I stayed in a large and well equipped room with everything I needed for a work trip. I made my tea everyday using the kitchen area that opens to the wide garden with a view and fresh air. It was also reassuring to leave my belongings in the exceptionally safe premises. I could go on! Thanks for the experience :)

All cabins in Harare

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

Delicious breakfast in a lovely surrounding and great service. Abiluty to chill on the hotel premises and enjoy multiple comfort areas (by the pool or fireplace in evenings)
