It was a stellar pearl to discover. Very beautiful, cosy place with stellar staff. Way more appealing than big 'factories'.

The lodge is so quaint and beautifully done. It has a "bed&breakfast" feel which we really liked. The location is great, walking distance to shops and restaurants. We stayed by the patio which was lovely and sunny in the afternoons.

The owner (Angela) was incredibly warm and friendly. The room was cozy and all the equipment was functional and clean. There was no air conditioning in the room, but even on hot summer days it wasn't needed. The temperature at night was pleasant. For a while I felt like I was really living in a nice area of San Diego. The friendliness and style of the accommodations gave another level to the experience. Just what we were looking for. We were given awesome advice on restaurants and places to see.

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
