The apartment itself was spotless, well-furnished, and exactly as described in the listing — if not better. The space was comfortable, quiet, and located in a convenient neighborhood, close to local shops, community and town restaurants, and public transport. As a tour operator, I booked this place for my clients. The place was super nice and the communication was very effective. We reached a little late and found Eunice and other two staff waiting for us. This was super amazing. We spent three nights at the property. Every night Hippos came in the compound to feed on every night. Hippos come with their young ones. I saw a whole family of hippos. 😜Mama, Papa and baby hippo. They come twice a nice at night Between 20:00hrs - 21:30 and then come back between 2:30 - 4:00 The place is very close to Kazinga channel boats and few km to Kasenyi gate in Queen Elizabeth national park. Since am a Birder, I could always start my birding while in the compound. I took enough Pictures of birds. The birds you are likely to see are;; Red necked spurfowl, laughing dove, mourning dove, snowy crowned Robin chat, white browed robin chat, black lores babblers, pied crow, marabou stork, village weavers, black headed Gonolek, Dideric cuckoo, ....... Then as you join the main road, there's a bush where you can see variety of birds.

Thjs lodge is fantastic.It may seem difficult to find but it’s worth it as you are greeted by lovely local staff, especially Sharon the chef who cooks up great local food including fresh fish. The 4 traditional thatched huts are clean and comfortable and come with a refreshing shower Animals roam around the camp all night while you can sit by campfire to enjoy the outside. breakfast is by the lake to watch the birds and hippos it’s near the Salt lakes but through the village nearer the fresh water lake so there is no suphur smell if you are wanting a reasonably priced that is run by locals and supports the local village this is it if you are used to staying in expensive resorts this may not be for you but I would say give it a go as you have a much more authentic experience

The service of Daniel and Christine will last forever in my heart. So professional and calm. The Chef outdid himself It was the best time ever!!!

The staff are really everything you would want in service and the food was excellent. The environment is great for relaxation, the camp fire is an experience for especially modern children who experience it less or never. I would recommend them over and over. And Yes, the animals come by anytime.

The peaceful exceptional views were worth the climb up the many steps. The engagement with the community was extensive and valued by all.
