PolandDuring my voyages in Asia, I was always amazed by the beauty of rice terraces. After my trip to Jatiluwih on Bali, I thought my eyes have already seen the most beautiful rice terraces in the world. After my stay in Banaue, I can fully admit this was very naive of me, because the work of Ifugao people for sure deserves to be called the eight wonder of the world, more than any other place.
My positive perception was certainly boosted by the hospitality and helpfulness of the Las Vegas staff, which was very accommodating during my short 3 day stay. Even though I was their single guest (for some reason wet season seems to freak out tourists), there was always someone to ask for an advice or some help. I really appreciate the owner for his caring - he provided me with some ice to relieve my swollen ankle. He also gave me detailed information about trekking routes, local transport and somehow was able to arrange quite demanding trek with my guide - Edwin, who was definitely the right companion on the one-day route from Banaue to Batad.
When it comes to the lodge in particular, you can clearly see it is well maintained and gives the true vibe of family-run homestay. Highly recommended for solo travelers.
Salamat Po for an amazing stay in Banaue and I hope to visit you and your family again!
