A really lovely, peaceful place to stay, surrounded by the sounds of nature, with all the little whooping, scratching, hooting critters that abound. Nicholas, the host, was so helpful in sorting us out with various things, including day trips. It is quite a way from town so organise your food and drinks before you arrive, and don't be fooled by the distance on the map - the real distance is further as you bounce around swerving round potholes. Some taxis might not make the journey depending on the season. Here be dragons....

Excellent location right on the Rio Tambopata. All meals and numerous activities included. Located right next to the Amazon Shelter for Animal and Environmental Protection, which you can visit for a small donation and receive a guided tour. Very friendly and family-like atmosphere. Absolutely amazing stay! I didn’t want to stay deep in the jungle, but this hotel was the perfect balance — it still gave you that lush, jungle feeling while being conveniently located in town. We booked a room in the newer block with AC, and the view was just incredible — truly breathtaking! The hotel also has a lovely restaurant with a great breakfast and good food overall. I would definitely stay here again!

Casa Amazonas was an amazing place that I stumbled upon. It was so peaceful, all of the facilities were immaculate, and the staff super attentive. The food they served was amazing and very healthy. We shared meals all together making it easy to meet and get to know other travelers. They also offered yoga classes three times a day and had other activities available for those on longer stays. I highly recommend this for a few days of respite after visiting Tambopata, I wish I had been able to stay for more time.

We enjoyed the beautiful lodge and delicious food. Beds were comfortable and we were grateful that the entire cabin was screened in (vs some lodges that only provide mosquito netting around the beds). This meant we could enjoy the room, take a shower, etc, without fear of becoming a meal for the bugs.

Great location, the lodge is in the middle of the jungle. It is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Both in the lodge and during tours you can see and hear many animals and birds, interesting fauna. Stayed there for 4 nights and it was one of the best experiences i had in Peru.
