We were booked for three nights and hoped to see the Nothern lights, sadly they proved elusive. But there are many great spots around the grounds to take amazing photos of the lodges and the mountains. The food at Fangst was exceptional and the staff at the lodge were wonderful. Very approachable and friendly. Hillside hut number 8 had great views and was spacious. It’s just a short 5 minute walk to the local supermarket.

What can I say about Astrid and Trond? Their home is pure magic! ✨ It’s not just perfect — it’s beyond perfect. From the very first moment, it felt like stepping into a dream: modern, elegant, cozy, and filled with so much love and attention to detail. They’ve truly thought of everything. The house is beautifully organised and equipped with everything you could ever need — and then some! The thoughtful little touches made it unforgettable: delicious teas and morning drinks, soft robes, handwritten notes, candles, and so many small details that made it feel like a five-star hotel (but with the warmth and soul of a real home). They even prepared a lovely guidebook explaining how everything works — such a thoughtful gesture that made our stay completely effortless. And as if all that wasn’t magical enough… I got to see the Northern Lights dancing right from the garden! It was an absolutely breathtaking moment I’ll never forget. 💫 Staying at Astrid and Trond’s place felt like being home — peaceful, beautiful, and full of heart. A really nice place to stay in the Lofoten for at least several days! The location is perfect, right in the middle of the Lofoten, 1 or 2h away from every place to visit. The wood-burner was lovely and wood was provided sufficently, the jacuzzi was always warm to our surprise so it was really convenient to just jump in every evening! The kitchen is fully equiped, beds were extremely comfortable, and sauna also wonderful and easy to use!
