Best value for money so far in Sri Lanka. Great location by the river. We saw some tree snakes, peacocks and chipmunks. Nice balcony to chill on with breakfast. Air con was perfect and adjustable. Nice towels.

From delicious lunches and dinners to delightful surprises and the most mouth-watering fish barbecue - probably the best meal I have had in the two months I have been in Sri Lanka. Beyond the culinary delights, our room was a sanctuary of comfort and style. Immaculately clean, equipped with a kitchen containing everything one could possibly need, and beautifully built and decorated. Originally intending to stay for four nights, we found ourselves captivated by the charm of Charming Dark Lodge, extending our stay to twelve nights. Departing was bittersweet, as we had grown attached to the unparalleled hospitality and the tranquil ambiance of our temporary home. A particularly memorable moment was celebrating my birthday during our stay. Our host went above and beyond to ensure it was an unforgettable occasion, adding a personal touch that truly made me feel special. Wonderful place close to the beach, but still quiet and secluded. The hosts are super nice and helpful. Several bungalows are hidden in green, vast area so you feel isolated from other guests. The pool is great :). Breakfasts are diversified, so every day you can try different meal. Walking distance, 3 min., to Midigama center. We will most ceirtainly come back!

Very cosy and stylish boutique hotel with charming atmosphere, perfect service and excellent delicious food, prepared with the personal care of chef Roshan and served perfectly by Leel. The design was carefully selected by the owner and gives the feeling of premium and chic ambiance. If you visit in early February, the chance to watch a turtle laying eggs is 100% and this is unforgettable for a lifetime. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. This cabin is perfectly located - close to Ahangama junction and the beach but also quite and a little bit apart from the busy parts and noises. The host is very friendly and attentive and the breakfast is amazing. All in all it was a great stay and I wish I could've extended!
