Sri Lanka 3rd april arrived at 8:40 am in Colombo. We have pre booked a driver to bring us to our hotel in Bentota Beach. 1,5hrs car ride to Kurumba villas and 45 USD later we arrived at this amazing jungle like garden with a beautiful pool. Only 5 villas therefore, never crowded and lots of space for ourselves. Villas are large with outdoor like showers but not actually outdoors so no insects, geckos or spiders inside. Beds are comfy and staff is super friendly. Especially Lal gave us amazing service. Inside the garden we saw chipmunks, a water monitor and many birds and butterflies. Internet at the villa is great, and the street next to the hotel can be heard in the garden but didnt bother us at all at night. Card payment for the room is accepted, extra services like massage or restaurant charges are preferred in cash. About 5 mins walk to the next store or pharmacy and 10-15 min to the beach. Also they offer services to drive you where you need to go. At benitota Beach was amazing sunset, beautiful wide beaches and at night we had a fruitplatter at one of the beach beds at tunaturner. Card payments accepted.

I had an amazing time at Lila Lodge. From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed by the friendly staff. The room was perfect,,spacious, clean, and the friendly staff made my stay extra special. The staff, the food, the property....all invite you to relax. The view of the lake in the morning....calm, peace... So it was really a place to come out of your mind and into your senses....excellent food....I didn't know that one can cook with such variety vegetarian food...and above all it tasted sooo good. Boat trip through the Mangrove forest...some sightseeing....sunsets...a Crocodile did some sunbathing on the rocks....don't worry it was far away....the staff always give you a hand...Roy the magician, Insaf and his father Ilyas. As I asked for a room with river view they gave me a room in the villa without extra pay. Once in awhile I had a head, neck shoulder massage...couldn't get enough of it... So all in all a very relaxed and pleasant experience....No wonder I stayed for two weeks...

We had a fantastic time at Ocean Pearl Cottage! Room was spacious, comfortable bed and new ac. The host was very caring and lovely man! Once he heard that it was our honeymoon, same evening he left a surprise for us in a room, which I will attach with pictures. Not to mention all additional snacks and drinks during the day and evening. This man really knows what is the highest level of customer service. He also took us to the beach to look for turtles laying eggs at night! He will help you with everything you need. It was a great experience! I would also like to add that Jungle beach bar nearby is a great place to spend time during the day, to eat some food and get a drink with a sunset. The beach itself is also lovely and very peaceful. We had best time out of all places during our 3 week trip in Sri Lanka, thank you so much!

The hotel is located close to the beach inside a small shrubby area. There are AC rooms as well as separate Wood Cabins. The one we stayed is enough for 6 (easily) with few extra beds. The staff is friendly. The host even upgraded us to a wood cabin by the sea. There was no trouble at all. The food was delicious. Evening and morning in the beach is amazing. There is a bar by the beach as well. You can also visit Madhu Ganga, Koth Duwa Temple, Fish Therapy, Aluthgama Water Sports Spots from this place.

Location is amazing. Like a little private island. Entrance to the resort is like a nice walk in mangrove jungle. It’s really well mantained. We stayed in the ac room and the room was super clean, really comfortable and well decorated. Staff and the owner, ware really helpful and really sweet to us. We can totally recommend to stay here.
