Fantastic home stay. A reasonably priced, really warm and comfortable large house. Great kitchen, living room and bathrooms. Plenty for five guests. Daniel kindly put the fire on for us when we went for dinner. Helped us arrange taxis and nothing was too much trouble. Highly Recommend Brookfield lodge.

We stayed in room 2 which was gorgeous. We had a separate area with double bed with doorway to another area with bunks and table area. There was also an en-suite shower room. Our room was modern and tastefully decorated, we were very pleasantly surprised! The view from our room, right from the bed, was straight over the mountains. If you sit outside on the chairs you get the full view of both the mountains and the sea, stunning. There was a self check in system so we didn’t meet our host, but her communication throughout the stay was Evans she was very helpful. As stated, there are. No cooking facilities, but there was a fridge, kettle and tea and coffee. There are cups, glasses and cutlery but no plates or bowls. We were touring on motorcycles and there was plenty of room to store and dry all of our gear. Ardara town is lovely with lots of gift shops and pubs. There is a garage and a general store a few minutes walk away for supplies with the main town about 5 minutes walk. Would definitely recommend this property and be delighted to return.

The check-in was easy and the chalet was perfect, so clean and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen and secure off street parking. It had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. It’s just a few steps away from a lovely beach, and close to shops, cafes, and a great pub. We loved our time here and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

What can I say, when I was looking for accomodation in Donegal I never thought I'd find a place like The Blue House. Everything about this place is wonderful, from the ease of checking in and out, to the cleanliness and facilities. Where it is situated is the perfect place for a get away from everyday life which is exactly what we were after. A local pub just a couple of minutes walk away was fantastic and the staff so friendly and Donegal centre just 10mins drive, what more could a person ask for. We will definitely be returning The Blue House.

That place is just amazing. For us everything was perfect and view from big window It's a cherry on the top. I've enjoyed morning coffee watching river and mountains. At arrival we found clean and welcoming place with private car park. I was delighted to be in this cozy little cabin close to nature and I would gladly come back some day. If you choose this place you might find out that your stay was not long enough. Great base point to travel in all directions and with breath taking views. Driving around that part of Ireland itself gave me a lot of satisfaction . Huge thank you to the host

It was quiet and close to the beach. Log burner was great and we had brought logs so lit it all 3 nights! Also having wifi was an added bonus!
