Location and view are amazing. So comfy and homely, didn't have the uncomfortable feeling about being away from home. Anthony is very friendly and lovely to chat with. Kids and dog enjoyed their stay too. Everything you could need and very accommodating.

This good-value lodge has easy access by bus to Darlington town centre, 3.2 km away. Junction 59 of the A1(M) is also 3 km away. The 4-star lodge also has free parking and en suite rooms.

We've ended up staying longer as our van broke down, we're on the second floor this time. Room is spacious. Staff are pleasant and housekeeping come to check everyday if we're in need of anything. Four nights now we've been there and will probably end up being longer . It's easy to book online and we've been told we can just go to the reception and let them know if we require longer time. (Which we did) We have our dog with us so it's lovely to have found a place that accepts pets.

Everything. The environment was spacious particularly if you have kids. The atmosphere was relaxing and the cabin had everything you need from a self-catering perspective. The hot tub was privatised. The seating area outside has a lovely view. The hosts were exceptionally helpful and patient and responded to any queries we had during our stay. I have recommended this lodge to family and would be more than interested in booking the cabin again. If you do take your kids there is a park and a box full of activities they can go into for bats, balls and Frisbees etc. 10 out of 10 experience. Thankyou very much for your hospitality.

The cottage I stayed in was literally nestled in the forest, providing a beautifully immersive, natural setting. The interior was tastefully decorated with thoughtful design elements, creating a cozy yet stylish atmosphere. Equipped with all the essentials, it made my stay incredibly comfortable, almost like a home away from home. The real standout, though, was the view. Each morning, I could enjoy my coffee in perfect tranquility, surrounded by serene, breathtaking scenery.
