Excellent food! The breakfast was varied and nourishing, and food was served all day. We ate there several times and were always impressed. The location was fine, between two parks and a short walk from the city centre. Special thanks to the member of staff who helped us with our taxi problem!

Great room with everything we needed. Bonus of microwave, fridge and toaster. Hosts are very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast has to be the be the best value breakfast in the country. We love it here. Pub is cosy and characteristic and welcoming. Food was great. Our perfect go to when up north.

We had a family pod and a smaller one. Perfect size for our family trip enough space for everyone. The wheelchair fit easily too. Next time we will bring a chairlock and use the bike shed attached to the pod. The pods were absolutely beautiful and unique set within beautiful views and well maintained grounds. A home from home holiday. Booklet provided with things to do within the area B.Casle and horse riding. We look forward to going back and melting marshmallows when the fire pits are fitted The children loved the games dome, and feeding the horses in the field next door. The 68th cafe next door also provided a fabulous breakfast

If I could rate our stay 15 I would. Such a amazing experience. Hosts so friendly and welcoming whilst also respecting privacy. Nothing too much trouble.

What a perfect spot for a weekend getaway we had the sun shining, it honestly felt like I was on Holliday so relaxing! Definitely recommend for anyone really, groups couples or even a little family.

Lovely, well-equipped caravan in a fantastic location with a beautiful sea view. Excellent facilities at Crimdon Dene, which is ideally placed when visiting Durham and other areas of the northeast. Very comfortable beds and a great kitchen and lounge area with large tv and a dvd player, and some board games to play.

Gosling Lodge is so homely and gives you everything you could wish for in a home from home. It's beautiful, it's cosy, it's relaxing, it's all just exquisite, and designed down to the finest detail. We loved sitting out on the terrace in the morning for breakfast overlooking the lake and listening to all the wildlife around us, and then in the evening it's so peaceful and we just watched the stars come out after the sun had set over the trees. The cabin is perfectly located, it feels like you're in the middle of the countryside with how green and tranquil the surroundings are, but in reality you're only 5 minutes down the road from Durham City Centre, 15 minutes from the coast, and just 25 minutes from Newcastle. Angus and Lee are the most accommodating and thoughtful hosts, and they couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming.

Stunning property , very clean, warm and inviting. Decor was 5 star standard . Everything you could possibly need was provided along with a welcoming bottle of wine , milk and biscuits along with tea and coffee , much appreciated after a long journey. Location was fantastic as I was visiting my mother who was only 4 minutes away, for anyone looking for a central location in the north east this would be a great choice and it’s very close to the motorway.
