Such a fantastic taste of paradise. Everything at subtropica is done with love and skill. The breakfasts are superb, the pool is crystal clean and perfect temperature, the grounds are gorgeous with healthy beautiful plants growing everywhere. We were lucky enough to meet the owner Antonio, who helped us fulfill all our plans in mindo! Thank you!

My stay at this hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. The food was incredibly delicious; every meal felt like a special treat. We stayed at Las Terrazas de Dana for 4 nights. It is a real oasis! Our room with the terrace was very nice. The garden is beautifully landscaped and you can watch hummingbirds and other beautiful birds from your own terrace. The breakfast is rich and delicious. David is very helpful and friendly. Marco and Freddy are also always concerned about the well-being of the guests. The whole staff is very friendly. We had also booked a bird tour through David. The tour with our guide Natalie was very good. We were able to see many birds. David also arranged cab transportation to the airport for us. The cab ride was pleasant and relaxing. We would definitely book this accommodation again and can only recommend it.

We had the deluxe cabin and it was gorgeous. It had floor to ceiling windows so the views were so beautiful to wake up to, completely surrounded by nature. They also had an Italian restaurant on site where we had dinner and also another site for breakfast which was so delicious. In addition we had arranged with the lodge for someone to pick us up from the airport who’s name was Chicho and he was amazing! He ended up being our tour guide for the whole stay, arranging all the activities in Mindo for us including ziplines, waterfall hikes, chocolate tours, even lunch and dinner. We had such a great time!!

Our stay at this place was just amazing! The rooms are clean and beautiful and the smell of chocolate fills the house so nice! The owners are so lovely and more than helpful! They invited us for breakfast and just cared about everything we needed. We felt like family!

Very nice surroundings with lots of wildlife and vegetation. The hot tub outside the cabin is a really nice place to enjoy the evening. Also liked the fact they provided water to drink as some places here in Ecuador don't and it's annoying having to find it and buy it.
