A unique place to explore Tortuguero. Primo and his family are lovely people and were very helpful to make our trip a very nice stay for us as family with two teenage daughters. It's a place where you can enjoy the quietness in the middle of the beautiful nature. A nice breakfast, great excursions with Angelo as local guide, ....

Nice location, breakfast was very good (fruits, coffee, tea, milk, pancakes with banana or scrambled eggs with toast), there’s a beautiful balcony where you can see the lake and take your breakfast. Rooms are spacious, with AC and a small bathroom. Amazing staff, they welcome you at the parking lot (before taking the ferry).

Located between the Caribbean Sea and the canals of Tortuguero National Park, Mawamba Lodge is accessible by boat or plane only.

Loved it. Location was fabulous. Although you had to get a boat across to the town that was part of the fun. The accommodation, grounds and pool were lovely, the food was good (we ate in both days (which is very unusual for us) and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Great early morning wildlife boat trip with Antonio. Saw and learnt a lot. Big thumbs up and thank you to all the staff from us.

This accommodation is perfect, clean. The owner is very warmth and welcoming. The place was better than our expectation. The beach is less than 5 minutes walking. The bad point is that you need to pay an extra for the air-conditioning. It was like 15 euros for one or two nights. Except that, every is very good !

They greet me very nicely with a coconut drink and organized everything i questioned about. the place is very relaxing although a bit off the beaten track. you have to get a boat from the main dock to come here. if you wanna stay away from the big tourism in the city this is the place to be.

Lovely, very helpful staff. Full coach transport from San Jose and back, but hired a car and drove to the half way restaurant. Arranged by messaging ahead. Left the car there for free and picked it up on the way back k trough. 3 different tours included in the price. All meals included. Truly a wonderful experience.

Paisajes del Tortuguero is located in Tortuguero Beach, a common site for turtle hatching. Free WiFi access is available in all areas and Tortuguero National Park is 900 metres away.

The accommodation is exactly what you need. It’s well located in the strip being close to walk to restaurants whilst being set back only a bit by the beach so you can here the roar of the sea. I highly recommend booking your tours through them - Celimo and Jordan are wonderful! The canoe tour was beautiful and very peaceful. And a special mention for the amazing Emanuel (and beautiful Gorda the dog!) who was incredible helping me in any way he could with some problems I had. I appreciated it even more as a solo traveller and the opportunity to have someone to chat to a bit. THANK YOU!
