What's there not to like? The room or the tent, while it's basic, it's self sufficient bug free with an ensuite shower and toilet. The grounds around the camp is spacious and a true immersion in mother nature. The food is authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. The 4 dogs are therapeutic to stroke. The safari tour was guided by Sudesh who has eagle's vision for spotting wild life from miles away. He'd helped us to spot snake, monitor lizard, all kinds of birds, crocodiles and definitely a leopard resting on a tree 20m away.

Service was outstanding! Food was delicious and they accommodated my daughter’s celiac. He even cut us fresh coconuts. Room was very comfortable and clean.

Initially, we thought staying inside the national park would be a big challenge, but we were amazed at how comfortable it became once we settled into the jungle. The most incredible moment came in the evening when a leopard approached our tent area. We believe the smell of our cooking meat might have attracted it, and seeing the leopard so close was an unforgettable experience. To top it off, there's a lovely river running just a short distance from our tent, adding to the serene atmosphere.

I travelled solo a few days and decided to stay here, and am so glad to have found this gem. From the warm welcome, to the amazing food, to the lagoon safari to getting to know the lovely granddaughter who had a few days off school - I felt safe & secure with my comfort being their priority - I felt spoiled!! A heartfelt thank you, and I hope to return again.

Our stay at Mallara Rest Safari was truly incredible! If you're a nature lover, this place is an absolute must-visit. Babi and his staff are exceptionally hospitable, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The accommodation itself is beautifully designed, blending perfectly with its surroundings. Right next to the property, we saw various animals passing by—during the day, water buffaloes and stunning birds, and at night, even elephants! The food was absolutely delicious, adding to the overall experience. Staying in the treehouse was magical—it allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in nature, listening to the soothing sounds of wildlife at night, which felt almost meditative. Babi also took us to explore different local spots, showing us breathtaking views and beautiful scenery that we wouldn't have found on our own. We also arranged a safari nearby, exploring the nearby Yala Block 5 and 6, where we were lucky enough to see leopards, elephants, and a variety of other animals. Overall, our experience was nothing short of amazing. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable nature getaway!

Situated in Yala, less than 1 km from Situlpawwa, Kulu Safaris - All Inclusive features accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with a terrace. Fantastic experiences with amazing staff team. I admire their professionalism, especially when paying attention onto the details. Definitely a recommendation to any experienced travelers.

Big Game Yala - by Eco Team is located on the edge of Yala National Parks, a 20-minute drive from the Katagamuwa park entrance. This was such an amazing experience. The we had a lovely dinner at the campfire, a good night in the tent (clean tent) and an amazing morning Safari with a unforgettable view at breakfast. Avkina and all the staff where lovely, great hospitality. Avkina guided us with the night walk and the morning Safari. Higly recommend to accompany a guide with the Safari. We spotted many animals including Leopards and an Elephant.
