Great location, lovely helpful people, comfy bed and beautiful hot shower.

The beds are very comfortable and the underfloor heating in the bathroom. The food in the Hound restaurant is good, BUT the menu lacks ‘tasty’ casual options. Meal for two, sharing a starter and a desert, bottle of house white, was over €150.

Beautiful room and spacious. Plenty of parking on site and house is gorgeous. A couple of brief interactions with the owner who was lovely and was kind enough to let us into our room early. Comfortable bed and hot shower. Cold continental breakfast served in a picnic basket to your room. Short 10 minute walk into city centre. Would stay again if given the opportunity.

This hotel is ideal for staying in Kilkenny and being right in the centre of things. The walks around the castle and down along the river, eventually arrives back at the hotel which is fab. Sitting out on the veranda along the river with a drink is so relaxing, watching the sun set.

Great hotel to explore Kilkenny city & especially to visit the Castle. Many bars and restaurants on your doorstep and we had the Christmas markets across the road. The bar and brassiere attached to the hotel were both very snug. It was so quiet & dark in the hotel room we both slept for 9 hours+. Fabulous hot shower the next morning before a tasty breakfast in the brassiere. Reception staff at check in were very friendly and helpful.

toasty warm, lovely hot shower, plenty of space for the 2 of us, milk, eggs, bacon left in the fridge. very peaceful!
