The owners where so friendly, they did everything for us! The house is very clean and all the tourist attractions are in the neighborhood. We are a couple from the Netherlands and I definitely recommended this lovely house.

What a beautiful guesthouse with the sweetest and most thoughtful owner! Our room (double room with balcony with a king bed) was fantastic—spotlessly clean, super comfortable mattress, pillows, and comforter, great shower with hot water, an amazing view out the giant windows, and a lovely balcony and hammock. And the owner, Shashi couldn’t have been a better host. She welcomed us with a complimentary drink upon arrival, brought us delicious ginger tea in the evening when it got cool, and made us the most delicious dinner (we got curry and rice but she offered us multiple options) and breakfast (we got milk rice and fruit but she also offered us a western breakfast)! The views over the valley are stunning and it was so nice and quiet at night. We only wish we could have stayed longer!! Highly recommended!

Located in Haputale on the Pitaratmalie Estate, Thotalagala is a restored former planters bungalow featuring seven Suites, each named after a prominent personality that shaped the history of the Uva... Everything was perfect. The property is very well maintained with a beautiful garden and impeccable rooms. Great views from the terrace and pool. The staf is very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. We would advise having the all inclusive package to get most out of your stay. This was our favorite hotel during our Sri Lanka trip.
