Lovely friendly family run guest house in a quiet location with big, clean, high roofed rooms. Excellent large breakfasts and recommend staying in for the dinner too for some great local food. Also highly recommend the safari run by Sudeth and family. Excellent un-rushed tour of the park, stopping to see all the animals, birds and beautiful views with knowledgeable and informative guide. Thank you very much for the great stay and drop off at the bus for our onward trip.

Thank you to Ravidu and Madu for making our stay so welcoming, they really looked after my brother and me. The accommodation is actually located in the forest and we could see monkeys and wildlife. We had a delicious welcome lemonade and cake, the breakfast was huge!! Madu organised a morning safari, which was fantastic, we saw lots of elephants. They packed us breakfast. The accommodation was exceptional value for money, comfortable bed, new air conditioning, hot water, fridge, kettle and even a hairdryer! I really liked the aesthetics of the bedrooms too. Nice little veranda to sit and relax. It is close to a few restaurants and a short walk to Udawalawe Junction. Thanks again! I highly recommend.

Firstly, I would like to compliment the couple who will host you. Krishantha will be around majority of the time throughout your stay and will ensure you are having a pleasant stay. Her breakfasts are generous and delicious. They were really wonderful to us and another who had been scammed before arriving at their gate late in the day, desperate for a room. They welcomed us warmly and set up the rooms for us within 5 minutes. The rooms were spacious, very clean and nicely designed. We booked a safari with them and they offered us an incredible deal as they have their own jeep. Although we had a mix up of communication between us and them in regards to the safari (and we were very on edge after nearly being scammed twice the previous day) but all was peacefully resolved. I fully recommend their safari - this is not one of those reviews that I had to do, it is genuine. Our safari was incredible. As it was a slower pace than Yala (which I did not enjoy), we actually got to see so much wildlife! Our driver/guide was very informative and we learned so much from him. He made sure to stop whenever we saw something, instead of darting off to desperately find a single elephant being surrounded by a million trucks. It was thoroughly enjoyable and a real highlight of my trip.

Absolutely the Best Way to Explore the Sinharaja Rainforest! This was our favourite place we stayed on Sri Lanka trip. This eco-lodge is hands down the ultimate way to experience the magic of the Sinharaja Rainforest. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear you’re in for something extraordinary. The location is beyond words—completely surrounded by lush rainforests, making you feel truly immersed in nature. It is so peaceful and quite - no noise from roads, traffic etc. The staff made our entire stay seamless and stress-free. They have a convenient car park in the nearby village, where they meet you and transfer you up to the lodge in a 4x4—what a fun start to the adventure! We stayed for two nights (but would have happily stayed a 3rd). The accommodation is spectacular. Large windows on every side of the room allow you to feel like you’re right in the heart of the jungle. Waking up to the incredible sounds of the rainforest was unforgettable, and we even spotted monkeys and exotic birds right in our room! Amazingly, you also get wifi in your room. The staff were outstanding, from the friendly restaurant team to the knowledgeable guides. On arrival, the Duty Manager, Mithun, warmly welcomed us, explained all the details about meal times, and helped us plan treks into the rainforest. They offer a variety of treks and provide you with a guide. They are also pretty flexible, We wanted a longer trek to explore more of the jungle and this wasn't a problem. The trek itself was a dream. We spotted an incredible variety of wildlife, including lizards, snakes, and a stunning array of Sri Lankan birds. The guides were so knowledgeable and enhanced the experience. Overall, this was incredible value for money. Running such a well-maintained eco-lodge in the middle of the rainforest can’t be easy, yet they make it feel effortless. If you’re looking for great value for money and an unforgettable way to explore Sinharaja, this is absolutely it.
