This was our second stay at Ashburnham Estate, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. There’s a rare quality to this place—an effortless elegance and warmth that welcomes you the moment you arrive. The landscape is breathtaking, with rolling hills, and quiet, expansive views. Every detail of the experience feels considered, from the beautifully curated interiors to the gentle rhythm of each day. The food was exceptional, and prepared and served with genuine hospitality. Ashburnham offers not just a break from the everyday, but a complete shift in pace. The whole fteam is gracious and attentive without ever being intrusive, and their warmth and professionalism enhanced the sense of calm and care. I travel a lot, and I don’t believe there’s anywhere quite like it, thank you Vish, Daniel and the team! We will return again I’m sure!

Perfect stay. Very attentive and nice staff. Breakfast and dinner were great and tasty. The morning walk was so enjoyable. The reading room had even a nice puzzle which we made. Nice swimming pool. We wished we could stay longer. The dogs are friendly too. Thank you very much! 😊

Everything was perfect! The place was clean has a very homey vibe. Host Nalin made our stay more memorable and enjoyable. He’s kind, very friendly, very polite,professional,very respectful and very thoughtful. We had the best holiday ever. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Such a hidden gem. Ok, if you are a self-driver and you have to arrive at night at the hotel the road is very, let's say interesting 🤔🙂 But when you get there it is paradise. Best rooms, best food, best breakfast, not only nice and polite employees but as well very professional. We have been in many hotels. This was for sure one of the top 3 in Sri Lanka. Overall I think it was our favourite hotel during all stay off the coast. Thanks for everything.

Amazing decor and facilities inside a large country house. Very comfortable rooms, excellent service and delicious food made on site. Very friendly staff that go the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable and looked after. The pool is amazing and looks out onto the valley. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Kandy, and is worth travelling to Kandy for!

We had a wonderful stay with Nishi and her husband. Both are incredibly hospitable; we felt right at home and were well looked after :) The whole area is very beautiful with a fantastic view of Kandy. The room is spacious and nicely furnished with attention to detail (decoration, first-aid kit, water, tea). The breakfast is fantastic—definitely worth trying. Nishi helped us with organizing our further travel and made our day with little treats :) We would love to come back!
