Bungalows in Bukit Lawang

Amazing location just a short walk out of town. The setting is a peaceful jungle cabana. Cheeky monkeys are all over the place. The food that mama prepared is the best. Have the gado gado! They can arrange jungle trekking tours to see Orangutans and transportation to and from Bukit Lawang. Every staff member we met was phenomenal from our driver Eddy, to our tour guide Sandy and our hosts. Highly recommend Orangutan Bungalow!

I loved my stay here! The bungalows are cosy and comfortable, located in a quiet area of forest away (but not too far) from the business of Bukit Lawang centre. There’s also a lovely river swimming spot just 5 min walk away! What made my time here the best was the kindness of Putra, Maya, and Fitraya. They are all lovely and make sure you feel at home. Not to mention, the food is amazing (especially the Chicken Rendang!) I did the 3 day 2 night trek with Putra and had such a fantastic time - he clearly knows a lot and cares for the jungle, it was such an awesome experience. I can’t wait to come back again 🙂 Terima kasih 🙏

Lovely spacious rooms with gorgeous balcony and view. Rooms were very clean with flushing toilets! Easy walk into town where there’s lots of restaurants and a supermarket. The owner and staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. We felt very safe and welcome here. They cooked us lovely banana pancakes for breakfast and a lovely lunch.
