We had to leave before breakfast time and they prepared us breakfast the night before!! Honestly couldn’t recommend it enough!!

Location was perfect - city center, a lot of restaurants in surroundings, room was clean and silent, staff was very helpfull and friendly.

We also got a welcome drink as a surprise and all staff were most welcoming and helpful.

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located at Estrada das Covas nº8, São Jorge, Madeira Island, 50 km from Funchal. The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes. Casa de Proteas is a lovely place to stay. Theresa was such a brilliant hostess, she made it feel like home.Breakfast was just right to set you up for the day. The food in the evenings was beautifully prepared. I would definitely recommend Casa de Proteas for a beautiful and relaxing holiday destination.

We had to check out early on our last day and staff had a to go breakfast ready for us. Close to the village, which was beautiful and a great place for dinner and sunset. Highly recommend staying here.

Situated in a restored 18th-century home, Casa Da Piedade offers a lounge with fireplace, outdoor garden with barbecue and brightly decorated rooms. Wi-Fi and parking are free. Very cosy and pretty. Amazing garden. Pool perfect for the kids. Everyone smiling, it's clear that the staff care about this place. Delicious breakfast.
